4-H

​In conjunction with local 4-H clubs, we are once again making 4-H animals available to our customers. Boys and girls participating in 4-H’s livestock program raise these animals under strict guidelines and close supervision. These lambs, beef, and pigs are raised by the local 4-H’er under humane conditions.

For over a century, 4H has helped young people develop personal responsibility, leadership skills, and a commitment to healthy lifestyles. Bringhurst Meats is a proud supporter of the 4-H Clubs of Gloucester, Cumberland, Burlington, and Salem Counties.

LAMB

  • Born between January and March.
  • Available late July / early August.
  • Sold in halves; approx. 30 lbs. for $299; $50 deposit required. 


Each order includes:

  • leg roasts (or 1 leg roast-3 lb. and sirloin chops)
  • loin chops (about 8, 1″ chops)
  • rack chops (about 7, 1″ chops or a 7-rib frenched rack) 
  • shanks (2 for osso bucco or stew)
  • riblets (for BBQ or stew)
  • grill chops (about 8 large grill chops or a boneless chuck roast)
  • ground (about 3 lb.)
  • (There is a cutting loss from the hanging weight)

PIGS

  • Born between January and March.
  • Available late July / early August.
  • Sold in halves; approx. 100 lbs. for $429; $50 deposit required.


Each order includes:

  • smoked ham roasts
  • ham steaks
  • picnic shoulder
  • boston butt
  • spare ribs & country ribs
  • pork chops
  • loin end roast
  • bacon
  • sausage
  • scrapple
  • (There is a cutting loss from the hanging weight)

BEEF

  • Pasture raised
  • Available late August.
  • Approximately 50 lbs. for $499; $50 deposit required.
  • Order soon; supply is limited


Each order includes:

  • a variety of steaks
  • roasts
  • short ribs
  • stew
  • london broil
  • chip steak
  • ground beef.
